• Stephen recently Directed and Choreographed the World Premiere of Chris Wade's SCENES FROM A BALCONY at the Lower East Side Festival produced by the Theatre for the New City.   SCENES FROM A BALCONY is a 25 minute musical setting of Act 2, Scene 2 from ROMEO AND JULIET.  Set in a musical theatre class, 13 singing and dancing actors take turns playing these historic characters while dealing with relationships of their own. 

 

 

• The reviews are in, and ALL SHOOK UP is a hit!  Sherry Deatrick from Theatre Louisville exclaimed: "Choreographer Stephen Brotebeck (who recently had a showcase at New York's Ailey Citigroup Theatre) provides snappy routines flawlessly executed by the performers."  "The jaw-dropping professionalism of Derby Dinner's execution of All Shook Up was the real deciding factor in rating this show a hit and not a miss."  Read the entire review from Theatre Louisville.    Also, CLICK HERE to check out a clip from the show featuring the song "C'mon Everybody.'  

• Stephen also recently directed 29LIVES...Anonymous Lives at the L'il Peach Theater.  Phil Willmott of the Gay Times (UK) said "It’s all simply but cleverly staged by up-and-coming director Stephen Brotebeck, whose work is creating quite a buzz at the moment..."  Read the whole review here.  29LIVES is the music of Chris Wade who composed the hit "Safe Haven" which was featured in Brotography.
